Overview

The Sandakphu Phalut Trek is one of India’s most spectacular journeys. Stretching across the Singalila Ridge, this trek takes you through a landscape where every turn unveils something new, from lush rhododendron forests and rolling meadows to panoramic views of the world’s highest peaks.

Starting
at Sepi, you gradually ascend through serene villages like Samanden, known for its European architecture, and Molley, surrounded by pine forests.

As you reach
Sabargram, the horizon opens to reveal the legendary Sleeping Buddha, the awe-inspiring formation of the Kanchenjunga massif and neighbouring peaks.

Further west, the mighty Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho
Oyu stand in silent grandeur above the clouds, a sight few treks in the world can match.

The
route winds through Singalila National Park, home to bamboo groves, alpine flora, and the elusive Red Panda. Trekkers are enchanted by the contrast between the quiet wilderness and the lively Nepali hospitality in cosy tea houses, where tales and laughter echo in the mountain air.

From Phalut to Aahl and Sandakphu, you walk ridge trails drenched in sunrises and sunsets that paint the peaks gold and crimson. At 11,930 ft, Sandakphu stands as West Bengal’s highest point, offering views that define Himalayan grandeur.

Moderate yet immensely rewarding, this 68 km trek blends scenic, cultural, and emotional highs, a journey of heart and altitude. Every step is a story, every sunrise a memory that lasts a lifetime.
