Start your Meghalaya Adventure from Shillong, visiting nearby tourist attractions like Lady Hydari Park. Next, you will head to Cherrapunji to visit Elephant Falls, Seven Sister Falls, and Mawsmai Caves.

Your next stop will be Tyrna Village, from where you will visit the Double Decker Bridge, a natural wonder. Then you will next visit will be to Mawphlang before heading to Dawki to visit the cleanest village in India, Mawlynnong, and trek to the Single Decker Living Root Bridge in Riwai Village.

You will then visit Shillong to visit the famous Krang Suri Waterfalls. You will then transfer to Guwahati, where you can explore the Assam State Museum and the Assam State Zoo. You can then also visit Kamakhya Devi Mandir before bidding goodbye to Meghalaya, taking home the adventurous memories of your journey.

Itinerary

Embark on an 8-day, 7-night adventure to Meghalaya, visiting several famous tourist destinations, including Elephant Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Caves, and the Double Decker Bridge, for a relaxing vacation. Your tour itinerary will include:

Day 1: Arrival in Shillong−

Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport/Guwahati Railway Station, our representative will pick you up and take you on a scenic drive to Shillong, with a short stop at Umiam Lake.

Check into your hotel upon arrival in Shillong. You can spend this day at leisure, or you can explore the local market and the area nearby. You can visit some tourist attractions, such as Lady Hydari Park, before returning to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Cherrapunji Sightseeing and Visit to the Elephant Falls+

After your check-out, you will be taken on a picturesque drive to Cherrapunji, stopping en route to visit the mystical Elephant Falls.

Upon reaching Cherrapunji, explore the city, visiting the Seven Sisters Falls and the Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest waterfall in India. Next, visit the Mawsmai Caves and the Arwah Caves for exploration. After a long, fulfilling day of exploration, retire to your hotel room.

Day 3: Trek at the Double Decker Root Bridge+

You will be transferred to Tyrna Village, where you can start your ascent to Double Decker Root Bridge, a remarkable bridge built by the Khasi people.

You can continue your trek further, at your own accord and expense, to visit the majestic Rainbow Fall. Later, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cherrapunji.

Day 4: Mawphlang Excursion+

On the 4th day of your tour, you will drive to Mawphlang, a quaint village with Khasi heritage.

From here, you will start a 16-kilometre trek known as the David Scott Trail with a local tour guide. After your 5-hour-long trek, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cherrapunji.

Day 5: Transfer to Dawki+

You will start your journey to Dawki after checking out of your hotel. While on your way, visit Mawlynnong, the “cleanest village in Asia”.

Then embark on a trekking adventure to the Single Decker Living Root Bridge in Riwai Village. Here, you can visit the unique Balancing Rock. Continue your journey to Dawki, and upon arrival, check into your accommodation for the night.

Day 6: Transfer to Shillong+

On your sixth day, you will leave for Shillong after a delicious breakfast. You will start your day with a drive to Shnongpdeng, where you can enjoy kayaking and boating at your own expense.

Continue your journey towards Shillong, and visit the Krang Suri Waterfalls. You can explore the Laitlum Canyon before checking into your hotel for the night.

Day 7: Transfer to Guwahati and Guwahati Sightseeing Tour+

Drive to Guwahati after your hotel check-out, enjoying the scenic views and relaxing ride. Upon your arrival in Guwahati, check into your hotel and relax for a while before you pay a visit to the Assam State Museum.

Later, you can check out the Assam State Zoo, followed by a visit to the Umananda Temple through a boat ride to the Umananda Island.

Enjoy a scenic cruise on the Brahmaputra River before returning to your hotel room for the night.

Day 8: Departure+

Check out of your hotel, and you will be taken to the renowned Kamakhya Devi Mandir, one of the oldest 51 Shakti Peethas in the world and a place of worship for the Kamakhya Devi.
