After breakfast, embark on a breathtaking drive across Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable passes, offering thrilling views of snow-clad peaks and deep valleys. Descend into the lush, green oasis of Nubra Valley, fondly called the Valley of Flowers. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or camp. In the afternoon, visit Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest in the region, home to a majestic 106-foot statue of Maitreya Buddha overlooking the Shyok River. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Post breakfast, journey through the rugged Shyok River route — a path less traveled that reveals raw Himalayan beauty at every turn. On arrival at Pangong Tso Lake (14,270 ft), witness one of Asia’s most stunning natural wonders, famous for its shimmering shades of blue that shift with the sunlight. Check into your lakeside camp or hotel and spend the rest of the day soaking in the tranquility.
