Upon your arrival in Sri Lanka, enjoy a seamless transfer to Chilaw, just 1.5 hours from the airport. Among your first stops is Munneswaram Temple, a holy place to which, after the Brahmahasti sin with Sita, King Rama came to pray to Lord Shiva to redeem himself.
Lord Shiva instructed him to install and worship lingams at five locations, one of which is Munneswaram. You will visit the Manavari Temple, where Lord Rama is said to have installed the first Shiva lingam, known as Ramalingam, which is worshipped to this day.
After these spiritual visits, embark on a 3-hour journey to Anuradhapura, where you'll enjoy a delightful dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and explore Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as the cradle of the Sinhalese Buddhist civilization.
