The trip starts from the capital city of Greenland, Nuuk. For the 2 days of the trip, you will tour the city, visiting the National Museum, Katuaq Cultural Centre, Nuuk Cathedral, and the historic Colonial harbour. These will all give you a glimpse into the history, art, and architecture of Denmark. The trip then continues to Ilulissat, where you stay for 5 days, and you explore the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Moreover, you will be able to spot wildlife such as whales, seals, and sledge dogs.

Day 1: Arrival in Nuuk – Gateway to Greenland

Arrive in Nuuk, Greenland’s capital. Meet our travel representative upon arrival and transfer to the hotel for hassle-free check-in. After some rest to recover from the travel. Then, in the evening, enjoy a relaxed walk through the city. Visit Nuuk Port and Harbour for scenic views of 18th-century Greenlandic history, rising mountains, and colourful houses. In the evening, begin your first Northern Lights hunt, as per the weather forecast.

Day 2: Nuuk City & Cultural Exploration+

After breakfast, explore Nuuk city by visiting Nuuk National Museum, Nuuk Kataq, and local art galleries. Afternoon at leisure to acclimatise. Return to the hotel in the evening. Post dinner, head out for another aurora viewing session, away from city lights. Take pictures of the serene surroundings.

Day 3: Nuuk – Ilulissat (Icefjord Region)+

After your breakfast, pack your stuff for checkout from the hotel. Then, fly to Ilulissat, which is home to the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and, after check-in, enjoy a guided walk to viewpoints overlooking massive drifting icebergs. In the late evening, head for the Northern Lights observation near the fjord.

Day 4: Ilulissat Icefjord & Glacier Views+

After breakfast, explore the Ilulissat Icefjord trails, renowned for their dramatic views of glaciers and icebergs. Optional activities include: Icefjord boat cruise (seasonal). Additionally, you can discover Snowshoeing or short Arctic hikes. Afterwards, enjoy an evening dedicated to aurora photography and viewing.

Day 5: Leisure Day+

Day five is your free day during your trip to explore the place at your own pace, click pictures, or witness the natural beauty with your loved ones. After breakfast, you can leave the hotel to explore or just rest at the hotel.

After breakfast, day six is dedicated to the optional Arctic activities. You can indulge yourself in Dog sledging across frozen landscapes, or visit nearby settlements, meeting local Inuit communities. Return to stay in the evening for dinner.
