Arrive at the Karikaiyur Trekking Shed / reception point by 8:00 AM. Complete entry formalities, permit verification and guide briefing.

Start of Trek
Begin the trek from Karikaiyur with the forest guide. The first section passes through forest terrain with gradual to steep ascent.

Eligiblity for Karikayur to Rangasamy Peak

This trek is suitable for physically fit beginners and regular walkers who can complete an 8 km hill trail with steep and uneven forest sections. Trekkers should be comfortable walking continuously for 4 hours and following instructions from the trek guide.

Children should join only with adult supervision. The trek is not recommended for pregnant women, senior citizens with mobility issues, or people with serious heart, breathing, knee, ankle or back problems.

The nearest major railhead is Mettupalayam Railway Station, approximately 45 km from the trail region. From Mettupalayam, travellers can hire a taxi or travel via Kotagiri towards Karikaiyur Trekking Shed.
