This trek is best suited for trekkers with basic to moderate fitness. It is not an extremely tough expedition, but the 11 km distance, changing weather, altitude and forest terrain require stamina and proper preparation. Trekkers can enjoy views of Avalanche Lake, Emerald Lake, Pine Forest, Doddabetta Peak and other popular Nilgiris attractions nearby.

10:15 AM – Cauliflower Shola Forest Section
Begin trekking through the shola forest area with shaded paths, cool weather, native vegetation and peaceful forest surroundings.
11:15 AM – Grassland and Wattle Trail
Continue through open grasslands and wattle patches. This section gives beautiful views of the Nilgiris mountain ecosystem.
12:15 PM – Mid-Trail Rest Break
Take a short break for water, snacks and photography. Stay with the group and avoid shortcuts.
1:00 PM – Trek Towards Kolaribetta Tower
Continue towards the Kolaribetta side with views of Mukurthi Peak, Upper Bhavani Dam and surrounding hill slopes.
2:00 PM – Reach Kolaribetta Viewpoint / Tower Area
Spend time enjoying the panoramic mountain views under guide supervision.
2:15 PM – Return Trek Begins
Start the return walk through the same route towards the trail exit point.
3:00 PM – Trek Ends and Return Transfer
Complete the trek and return to Avalanche Reception Point through arranged local transport.
