This Himachal Pradesh tour is a deeply immersive journey into the heart of the Himalayas. It begins with the charming colonial town of Shimla and slowly moves into the untouched beauty of Kinnaur and Spiti Valley.

As you travel, the landscapes shift dramatically. Green valleys turn into rugged mountains. From busy towns you find way to peaceful villages like Sangla and Kalpa. You visit and witness temples, monasteries, and cultures that feel timeless.

The journey through Spiti Valley is the soul of this experience. You visit and explore remote places like Kaza. Kaza is home to the world's highest villages, and stand beside the magical Chandratal Lake.  The trip ends in Manali, where adventure meets relaxation. From snow points to river rafting, every day feels alive.

This journey is not just about destinations. It is about feeling the mountains, slowing down, and truly experiencing Himachal Pradesh.

Itinerary

From Shimla's colonial charm to the raw beauty of Spiti Valley, this journey covers Sarahan, Sangla, Kalpa, Nako, Tabo, Kaza, Chandratal, and Manali. You visit monasteries, high-altitude villages, scenic drives, and unforgettable Himalayan landscapes.

Day 1: Shimla

Arrive in  Shimla and check into your hotel. Rest in the evening. The cool weather and mountain vibe instantly relax you. In the evening, visit the Mall Road. Explore the Himachali cuisine and culture.

Day 2: Shimla to Sarahan via Narkanda+

Today, you leave Shimla and head deeper into the mountains. The journey is long but beautiful. You visit Hatu Peak, where the views are wide and stunning. Snow peaks and forests surround you. Later, you reach Sarahan and visit the sacred Bhimakali Temple. The architecture and energy feel spiritual.

Day 3: Sarahan to Sangla+

Start your morning early and begin your drive towards the beautiful Baspa Valley. The roads become narrower and more scenic. The Kailash Range is gleaming under the afternoon sun, and you feel serenity through your veins. Once you reach Sangla, visit Kamru Fort, which stands tall with traditional wooden architecture. You can also visit the Bairing Nag Temple. Reach Sangla and check into your hotel.

Day 4: Sangla - Chitkul - Kalpa+

Today you visit Chitkul. It is quiet, raw, and incredibly beautiful. You can walk around and enjoy the mountain's silence. You pass through Rakchham village and continue to Kalpa. At Roghi Cliff Point, the views are dramatic and unforgettable.

Day 5: Kalpa to Nako via Khab+

In the morning, you witness the majestic Kinnaur Kailash (weather permitting). You then stop at Khab, where the Sutlej and Spiti rivers meet. Then proceed to Nako. Here you can explore Nako Monastery and enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake.

Day 6: Nako to Tabo+

Start your morning early and now enter the heart of Spiti. The terrain becomes more rugged and unique. You visit Gue Monastery, where a naturally preserved monk is kept. After this, explore Tabo Monastery, known as the Ajanta of the Himalayas.

Day 7: Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar, Hikkim, Langza, Komic+

Start your morning early. You visit the Dhankar Monastery, sitting dramatically on a cliff. After this, you explore Hikkim, Langza, and Komic. After all the terrains and long drives, you reach Kaza. Check into your hotel and rest.

Day 8: Kaza to Losar+

Start your morning early, visit Chicham Bridge, one of the highest bridges in Asia. After that, explore Key Monastery, a peaceful spiritual centre. Later, drive to Losar.

Day 9: Losar - Chandratal - Manali+

Today, you visit the magical Chandratal Lake. The water reflects the sky beautifully. You cross Kunzum Pass and drive through the famous Atal Tunnel. You finally reach Manali.

Day 10: Manali Local Sightseeing+

You visit the snow point on Rohtang Road and enjoy snow activities. After this, explore the Hidimba Devi Temple and a Tibetan monastery. In the evening, enjoy local shopping and a cultural dance performance.

Day 11: Departure from Manali+

Start your day with an exciting river rafting experience in the Beas River. Post the rafting, sit beside the lake and watch the sun gleam over the mountains.  Your journey comes to an end. You leave with unforgettable memories, stunning pictures, and a deep connection with the mountains.

What is the best time to visit Spiti Valley?

The best time for this trip is between May and September. During this time, roads are open, and the weather is pleasant. Winters are extremely cold, and many routes remain closed due to heavy snowfall.

Is this trip suitable for beginners?

Yes, but basic fitness is important. Since Spiti is at a high altitude, long drives can be challenging. It is advisable to acclimatise properly and stay hydrated throughout the journey.

Are accommodations comfortable in Spiti?
