Shortly after your breakfast you will visit the 500-year-old Wat Xiengthong, known as the “Temple of the Golden City.” The style of the temple architecture is purely Laotian. Next up, you will cruise across the Mekong River to reach the Pak Ou Caves.
On the way to the caves you will be exposed to some exhilarating views of the countryside, filling in a lot of excitement. The Pak Ou Caves comprise two caves, upper and lower. Inside both these caves, you will come across thousands of Buddha statues left by devotees, standing perfectly in alignment.
On the way, we stop at Ban Xanghai village, one of the most intriguing places you will find on the Asian continent. The village is famous for its exquisite rice wine, and those fond of wine can have a taste of every flavor available and may buy some to share with friends back home.

Morning after your breakfast we will first head out to visit the Royal Palace Museum, where you will find some rare historical collections, followed by a visit to local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups: Ban Quay, a Hmong village; Ban Ou, a Laoloum village; and Ban Thapene, a Khmu village.
Before noon, we will reach the gorgeous Khouang Si Waterfall, where you can refresh yourself by swimming in the water pools formed beneath the mighty waterfall or by simply walking along and admiring the beauty of the landscape. We will then return to Luang Prabang.
In the afternoon, we will make a visit to the stupa of Wat Visoun, the oldest temple in Luang Prabang and where the Prabang Buddhas resided. Next, we will visit the shrines of Wat Aham and then climb 329 steps to reach the top of Phousi Hill to enjoy a spectacular sunset view of the city and the Mekong River, which reflects the beauty of the landscape. As the tour concludes, you will visit the famous Night Market, which displays a fine collection of exclusive handmade garments made by the local and hill tribe people living in and around Luang Prabang.
