Spend the next two days exploring Munnar’s highlights, including Tata Tea Museum, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Rose Garden, Blossom Hydel Park, Pothamedu Viewpoint, Attukad waterfalls, and Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park) to spot the rare Nilgiri Thars. Capture the stunning landscapes and unwind in this tranquil hill retreat.

Continue your journey to Alleppey, famous for its houseboat cruises through the rustic Kerala backwaters. Visit temples, museums, and beaches, or relax on a shikara ride. Conclude your trip with a scenic drive back to Cochin, taking home beautiful memories of Kerala’s natural beauty and cultural charm.

Itinerary

This 5-day Kerala tour features Munnar’s hills and waterfalls, Alleppey’s backwaters, and scenic viewpoints, offering a blend of nature exploration, cultural experiences, and relaxation in Kerala’s most iconic destinations.

Day 1: Cochin – Munnar (140 Km & 3.5Hrs Drive)

 Upon your arrival at Cochin International Airport / Ernakulam Railway Station, you will be received by our representative. Drive to Munnar (04 Hrs). En route, witness the natural beauty of the Valara waterfalls, Cheeyappara waterfalls, and other scenic spots. On reaching Munnar, check in at the hotel and relax.

Based on your arrival timing, if time permits, you can visit the local market and the surrounding areas near your hotel. After enjoying your time, return to your hotel for a restful sleep after having a delectable dinner at your preferred restaurant in Munnar.

Day 2: Munnar+

Get ready for an exciting day exploring Munnar, after having breakfast at your hotel. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams, Kundale, Nallathanni & Mudrapuzha, Munnar is 1,600 meters above sea level. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India.

Go sightseeing at the Tata Tea Museum (Closed on Monday), Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Photo Point. In the afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park is closed during January to March due to breeding season), where you can witness the rarest species of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars", in the surrounding areas, and can take some beautiful pics. After enjoying your day, head back to your hotel for a comfortable sleep after dinner at your preferred restaurant in Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar+

After having a scrumptious breakfast at your hotel, start your day by visiting the beautiful Rose Garden in Munnar. It is a dreamland for rose lovers, featuring roses of almost every color, as well as a variety of other flowers and herbal plants.

Then visit Blossom Hydel Park, which is famous for its scenic beauty and natural aspect. The park has flower gardens and many fun activities. Later, visit Pothamedu Viewpoint & Attukad waterfalls on your way back to your hotel in the evening, and spend some time shopping in Munnar town. Finally, enjoy your delectable dinner at your preferred restaurant/hotel in Munnar and head back to your hotel for a peaceful night's sleep.

Day 4: Munnar – Alleppey (180 Km & 5.5Hrs Drive)+

After a lovely breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey (06 Hrs). Alleppey is best known for houseboat cruises through the rustic Kerala backwaters. On arrival at Alleppey, check in at the hotel and relax for a while. Later, visit the Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Swamy Temple, Bay Island Driftwood Museum, Alleppey Lighthouse, Marari Beach, and Alleppey Beach, among others. If time permits, you can go for a short shikara boat ride in the backwaters of Alleppey. Once you have enjoyed the day to the fullest, return to your hotel after enjoying a tasty dinner in Alleppey.

Note: In case you prefer a Houseboat Stay, check into the houseboat and enjoy the rest of the day in the houseboat, indulging in the exceptional and soul-soothing beauty of God's Own Country. Satisfy yourself with a traditional Kerala lunch, evening tea accompanied by traditional Kerala snacks, and a delicious dinner served onboard. If you wish, go shopping in the evening at nearby local markets (at your own expense) as well as explore the typical village life of Kerala. Later, enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the houseboat.

Day 5: Alleppey – Cochin (70Km & 2.5Hrs Drive)+

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and begin your drive back to Cochin International Airport/ Ernakulam Railway Station, feeling contented about the wonderful holiday you spent in God's Own Country. Tour ends with beautiful memories!

Does this package include sightseeing on all three days in Munnar?

Yes. This itinerary is designed to give you a complete Munnar experience, covering waterfalls, the tea museum, dams, viewpoints, the Rose Garden, Hydel Park, Attukad waterfalls, and Eravikulam National Park spread across all three days. Sightseeing is fully included as per the schedule.

Is a houseboat stay in Alleppey included in this package?

Yes, but only as an optional upgrade. The package includes a hotel stay in Alleppey by default. If you prefer a houseboat stay, you can upgrade it at the time of booking. Houseboat stays include all meals on board, while hotel stays include breakfast only.

What kind of transportation is provided during the 5-day tour?

A private AC vehicle is provided for the entire trip, from Cochin pickup, all internal transfers, daily sightseeing, and final drop at Cochin Airport/Railway Station. The same vehicle stays with you throughout the journey.

Can I visit Eravikulam National Park during any month of the year?

The visit is included but subject to park opening dates. Eravikulam National Park remains closed from January to March due to the Nilgiri Tahr breeding season. If it is closed during your travel dates, alternate viewpoints or tea plantation visits will be arranged.

Are activities like boating, shikara rides, museum tickets, and temple entry included?

The package includes visits to all these attractions, but activity fees are not included. Guests need to pay directly for shikara rides, houseboat upgrades, museum entry tickets, boating charges, and temple special darshan fees (if applicable).
