All cancellation requests must be made in writing to the Palace on Wheels Reservation team, and they must be acknowledged by the Reservation Team. For luxury train tours, the refund and cancellation policies are the same as the train’s refund/ cancellation policy. For the Palace on Wheels tours, these refund and cancellation terms are:

• You will be charged a minimum of 20% gross value of the train ticket as a cancellation fee if the tickets are cancelled more than 90 days or more days prior to the start of the tour.
  
• You will be charged a minimum of 25% gross value of the train ticket as a cancellation fee if the tickets are cancelled before 75 Days or more left, but not more than 89 days prior to the start of the tour.
  
  
• You will be charged 100% gross value of the train ticket as a cancellation fee if the tickets are cancelled before 74 days or less is left for the Tour Departure.

• Refund or adjustment for future travel will not apply in case of No-Show /Non-arrival of the guest.
  
  
• The amount for the unused portion of the tour shall be treated as forfeited in case of en-route termination.
  
  
• All Amendments are subject to approval from the authorised team of Palace on Wheels.
  
  
• Amendments are only possible under some specific circumstances, like Natural disasters / Natural Calamity or serious health problems.
  
  
• Every case of refund will be decided on the merits on a case-by-case basis.
  
  
• No amendment will be permissible in case of booking of groups or a complete train.
  
  
• Cancellation rules are only applicable in case travel documents or pending payments are not received as per the booking terms & conditions.
  
  
• In a special case, where the travel date of the same passengers needs to be postponed to future dates, a minimum of US$100 per person will be charged.
  
  
• Request for refund of advance or full payment, due to death or serious illness of passenger, will be at the sole discretion of the management of Palace on Wheels.
  
  
• In case a scheduled train tour departure is cancelled by RTDC, the guest will be informed at least one week prior to the starting date of the tour, and the full amount will be refunded to the guests.
  
  
• Requests for refunds due to refusal of an Indian visa will not be taken into consideration.
  
  
• At times, due to local logistics/ conditions, if the Train tour Manager is forced to cancel certain scheduled sightseeing tours or activities at short notice, no refund will be made to the passenger to compensate for this.
