About Gautam Buddha Nagar Noida

Located in western Uttar Pradesh, Gautam Buddha Nagar is one of the state's most dynamic and rapidly developing districts. Formed in 1997, the district is part of the National Capital Region (NCR) and is centred on the prominent urban centres of Noida and Greater Noida. Its strategic location near Delhi, along with excellent infrastructure and connectivity, has transformed the region into an important destination for business, technology, education and tourism.

The district takes its name from Gautama Buddha, reflecting the historical and cultural significance of the wider region. While Noida is recognised for its modern skyline, planned sectors, commercial centres and entertainment destinations, the district also preserves connections to its cultural and historical heritage.

Today, Gautam Buddha Nagar offers a distinctive blend of modern urban development, spirituality, leisure and cultural experiences. From the peaceful surroundings of the Buddha International Circuit and expansive urban parks to temples, museums, shopping destinations and contemporary attractions, the district appeals to both business and leisure travellers.

With its proximity to Delhi, world-class infrastructure and diverse attractions, Gautam Buddha Nagar is an important gateway to exploring the modern face of Uttar Pradesh.
