Your journey begins in Ahmedabad, a UNESCO World Heritage City known for its vibrant culture and architectural grandeur. Continue to Rajkot, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, before reaching Dwarka, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Krishna. From here, the journey takes you to Somnath, home to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and concludes in Diu, a serene coastal paradise with Portuguese charm and tranquil beaches. This itinerary offers the perfect blend of spirituality, history, and leisure — ideal for pilgrims, families, and travelers seeking a meaningful and rejuvenating experience of Gujarat’s rich cultural tapestry.

Itinerary

Ahmedabad 1N – Rajkot 1N – Dwarka 2N- Somnath 1N – Diu 1N – Diu Drop 
Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad – City Sightseeing

Arrive at Ahmedabad Airport and meet our local representative for a warm welcome. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and a short refreshment. Begin your exploration of the city with visits to Sabarmati Ashram (Gandhi Ashram) — the residence of Mahatma Gandhi during India’s freedom struggle — followed by a visit to the Adalaj Stepwell, a marvel of Indo-Islamic architecture. Later, explore the beautiful Sidi Sayed Mosque, famous for its intricate stone lattice windows, Evening at leisure for shopping at Law Garden Night Market, known for traditional Gujarati handicrafts and fabrics. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

Day 2: Ahmedabad – Drive to Rajkot+

After breakfast, drive to Rajkot, a city that beautifully combines history, art, and Gandhian values. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and later visit the Watson Museum (closed on Wednesdays & Saturdays), which showcases an impressive collection of artifacts from the Saurashtra region. Proceed to Kaba Gandhi No Delo (closed on Sundays), the ancestral home of Mahatma Gandhi, now preserved as a museum exhibiting rare photographs and personal belongings of the Father of the Nation. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through Jubilee Garden or explore the local markets of Rajkot. Overnight stay in Rajkot.

Day 3: Rajkot – drive to Dwarka+

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Dwarka, one of India’s most important pilgrimage destinations and a key site in the Char Dham Yatra. On arrival, visit the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Later, explore Gopi Talav, believed to be where Lord Krishna played with the Gopis, and the Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Krishna’s beloved consort. In the evening, witness the soul-stirring Aarti ceremony at the Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna. Overnight stay in Dwarka.

Day 4: Dwarka – Visit to Bet Dwarka & Local Temples+

After breakfast, take a ferry ride to Bet Dwarka Island, believed to be the original residence of Lord Krishna and his family. Visit the ancient temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and enjoy the scenic coastal views along the way. Later, explore Dwarkadhish Temple, Rukmini Temple, and other spiritual sites in and around Dwarka. Spend your evening at leisure, walking along the Gomti Ghat or exploring the local bazaars for religious souvenirs and conch shells. Overnight stay in Dwarka.

Day 5: Dwarka – Drive to Somnath+

After an early breakfast, proceed to Somnath, one of the most revered Shiva shrines in India. En route, enjoy the coastal drive through quaint fishing villages and scenic landscapes. On arrival, visit the magnificent Somnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, known for its powerful spiritual aura and stunning sea backdrop. Also visit Bhalka Tirth, where Lord Krishna is believed to have left his earthly form, and Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three sacred rivers — Hiran, Kapila, and Saraswati. Attend the evening Aarti ceremony at Somnath Temple and, if time permits, witness the Sound and Light Show narrating the temple’s rich history. Overnight stay in Somnath.

Day 6: Somnath – Drive to Diu+

After breakfast, enjoy an optional early morning visit to Somnath Temple for the morning Aarti. Later, drive to the tranquil coastal town of Diu, a former Portuguese colony known for its relaxed atmosphere and golden beaches. Check into your beachside hotel and spend the day at leisure. Visit the Diu Fort, St. Paul’s Church, and Naida Caves, showcasing Portuguese-era architecture and scenic beauty. Unwind at Nagoa Beach or Ghoghla Beach, where you can enjoy water sports or simply soak in the sunset views. Overnight stay in Diu.

Day 7: Departure from Diu+

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Diu Airport for your onward journey. Depart with divine blessings from Dwarka and Somnath, and the serene memories of Gujarat’s temple towns and coastal beauty.
Note: Diu Airport has limited flight operations, connecting only to select major Indian cities.
