Overview

The Panch Dwarka Tour is one of the most significant pilgrimage circuits for devotees of Lord Krishna. Spanning across Gujarat and Rajasthan, this sacred journey covers the five important Dwarka temples associated with Lord Krishna’s earthly kingdom. The tour also includes prominent Jyotirlingas, Shakti Peeths, and heritage destinations, making it a spiritually uplifting and culturally enriching experience.

The journey begins in Ahmedabad, a city known for its vibrant culture and spirituality. Here, pilgrims first travel to Dakor, one of the most revered Krishna shrines in India. The Ranchhodrai Temple in Dakor is dedicated to Lord Krishna in his benevolent form.  After returning to Ahmedabad, visitors often pay their respects at the Vaishno Devi Temple and ISKCON Temple.

The tour continues to Somnath, home to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Visitors can explore the majestic Kailash Temple, famed for its towering architecture, intricate carvings, and its revered status among pilgrims. The Light and Sound Show in the evening narrates the temple’s history and legacy.

From Somnath, pilgrims proceed to Porbandar and Dwarka. In Porbandar, the Sudamapuri Temple celebrates the timeless friendship between Krishna and Sudama, while Kirti Mandir marks the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Dwarka, the legendary kingdom of Lord Krishna, offers the iconic Dwarkadheesh Temple. The Rukmini Temple, dedicated to Krishna’s consort, showcases fascinating architectural details.

A key highlight of the pilgrimage is Bet Dwarka, located off the coast of Okha and accessible through a short ferry ride. The island houses ancient temples dedicated to Krishna’s family and various incarnations. Another major stop is the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, which features an underground sanctum dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The tour proceeds into the serene landscapes of Rajasthan with visits to Ambaji, one of the major Shakti Peeths. The Ambaji Temple is unique because it does not contain an idol but is worshipped through a sacred Yantra.

Mount Abu adds natural beauty to the spiritual journey, with its lush greenery and the intricately carved Dilwara Jain Temples, noted for their architectural magnificence.

Finally, the tour concludes in Udaipur with visits to Nathdwara and Kankroli. The Srinathji Temple in Nathdwara follows strict darshan timings that differ daily based on traditional rituals. Kankroli Temple, also dedicated to Dwarkadheesh, adds the final divine touch to this enriching Panch Dwarka experience.
