Day 1: Arrive Jammu Airport – Drive to Katra−

Your journey begins with your arrival at Jammu Airport, where our representative will warmly welcome you before escorting you to Katra, a scenic drive through the foothills of the Himalayas. On arrival, check in to your hotel and take time to relax after your journey. In the evening, take a gentle stroll through the Katra Market, where you can purchase prayer offerings, trekking sticks, and local crafts. This is the perfect time to soak in the devotional ambiance of this sacred town. Keep your evening light and restful, hydrating well in preparation for your spiritual trek to the Vaishno Devi Shrine the next morning. Overnight stay in Katra.

Day 2: Katra – Vaishno Devi Darshan – Katra+

Start before dawn for the Vaishno Devi Bhawan (trek for 13–14 km one way) average 5–7 hrs depending on pace, You may go for helicopter, pony on direct payment subject to availability. After darshan, devotees often visit Bhairon Temple (ropeway available from near Bhawan, ticketed). Return to Katra for a hot meal and well-earned rest.

Day 3: Katra – Patnitop+

After breakfast drive to Patnitop, Check in and enjoy the cool pine-scented air. Stroll across Patnitop meadows, Padora Enclosure, and the famed circular walks. Time permitting, visit Nathatop/Sanasar for sweeping Himalayan vistas or try the Skyview Patnitop Gondola and soft adventure activities (optional, extra cost). Overnight stay at Patnitop.

Day 4: Patnitop – Shiv Khori Cave Temple – Katra+

Leave after breakfast for Shiv Khori a naturally formed cave housing a revered Shiva lingam (drive approx. 140–160 km / 5–6 hrs including breaks). Walk the final stretch from the base to the cave on a well-marked path; ponies are available locally. After darshan, continue to Katra (approx. 80 km / 2.5–3.5 hrs). Check in and relax. Evening free for shopping or a gentle spa session (on request) Over Night at Karta.

Day 5: Katra – Jammu Airport Departure+

After breakfast, check out and drive to Jammu for your onward journey. If time permits, visit Raghunath Temple, one of North India’s largest temple complexes dedicated to Lord Rama. Explore Bagh-e-Bahu, and Bahu Fort a historic Mughal-style garden with panoramic views of the Tawi River, and the Mubarak Mandi Palace, a masterpiece of Dogra architecture. Later, you will be dropped off at Jammu Airport or Railway Station, marking the end of your Kashmir spiritual and scenic tour with cherished memories.

How long is the Vaishno Devi trek from Katra?

The trek to the Bhawan is about 13–14 km one way. Most pilgrims take 5–7 hours depending on fitness and halts. Helicopter, pony, palki, and battery car segments are available on select stretches at extra cost and subject to current local rules.

Can I cover Shiv Khori and return to Katra the same day?

Yes. From Patnitop you’ll drive to Shiv Khori (Ransoo) for darshan and continue to Katra the same evening. Drive times vary with road and weather; we plan comfortable buffers so you’re not rushed.

What’s the best time to visit Patnitop?

Patnitop is pleasant most of the year; summers are cool, monsoons are green, and winters can be cold with occasional snowfall. Evenings are crisp—carry a light sweater or jacket year-round.

Are helicopter tickets for Vaishno Devi guaranteed?

They are limited and depend on weather and operational guidelines. We assist with booking attempts and alternatives, but confirmations are subject to availability at the time of request.

Is this itinerary suitable for seniors and children?
