Itinerary

This 9-day 84 Kos Yatra itinerary takes you to Mathura, Vrindavan, Govardhan, Barsana and Nandgaon after you arrive in Delhi. It includes significant temples, kunds, and parikrama routes, and offers a spiritually immersive, well-paced pilgrimage.

Day 1: Arrival and Greeting in Delhi

Receive a warm welcome as you arrive at the airport or railway station in Delhi. After a brief introduction and a few formalities, our representative will take you to the hotel. Check into your hotel and rest for a while. If time permits, walk around the hotel or relax for the 84 Kos Yatra starting from tomorrow.

Overnight Stay - Delhi

Day 2: Delhi to Mathura+

Have your morning refreshments and depart from Delhi for Mathura, the sacred birthplace of Lord Krishna. It is one of the seven most holy cities (Sapta Puris) of Hinduism. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and prepare yourself for getting into the heart of Braj Bhoomi.

Start your spiritual exploration with Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple. The temple is constructed over the prison cell where Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudeva. Experience the deeply moving sanctum that marks the very moment of divine incarnation.

After that, head to Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple, one of the four guardian Shiva temples. Visit Dwarkadhish Temple, which is acknowledged for its royal darshan of Krishna as the King of Dwarka. Then, move to Gita Mandir (Birla Mandir), which is decorated with verses from the Bhagavad Gita. Go to the Potara Kund, where baby Krishna’s clothes were washed.

Travel to Vishram Ghat in the evening. It is the most important ghat on the bank of the Yamuna River. Here, Krishna rested after killing Kansa. Attend the Yamuna Aarti and return to your hotel by late evening.

Day 3: Complete Exploration of Mathura & Krishna’s Childhood Villages (Gokul, Mahavan, Raval & Dauji)+

On the 3rd day, dedicate yourself to visiting the places associated with Krishna’s infancy and early childhood leelas. Begin your day with a visit to Gokul. After birth, Vasudev brought Baby Krishna to Gokul and handed him to Nand Baba and Yashoda Maiya.   

Visit Nand Bhavan (Chaurasi Khamba). It is the ancient residence of Krishna’s foster parents. Then, visit the Brahmand Ghat. It is the place where Krishna revealed the entire universe in his mouth to Yashoda.

Now, move to Mahavan. It is one of the oldest villages of Braj, where Krishna performed several bal-leelas, including the liberation of Putana. Visit Putana Moksha Sthal and ancient forest shrines.

Move to Raval, which is the sacred birthplace of Radha Rani, the eternal companion of Lord Krishna. Experience the complete devotion of this village. Visit Dauji (Baldev), which is home to the renowned Shri Dauji Maharaj Temple. It is dedicated to Lord Balram. Return to Mathura by late evening.

Day 4: Move to and Explore Vrindavan+

Have your breakfast, then start your pilgrimage to Vrindavan, the land of divine love and the ras-leela of Lord Krishna and Radha Rani. First, visit Madan Mohan Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in Vrindavan.

Thereafter, visit Radha Raman Temple, which houses a self-manifested deity of Krishna. Further, move to  Radha Vallabh Temple. It is highly acknowledged for its unique tradition of worshipping Radha as supreme.

Move to the Banke Bihari Temple, which is located in the heart of Vrindavan. Later, visit Seva Kunj and the mysterious Nidhivan, which are believed to be the site of nightly Rasa Leela. Visit Kaliya Ghat, where Krishna defeated the serpent Kaliya and forced him to leave the Yamuna River.

In the afternoon, explore ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir. It is a centre of global Krishna devotion. End the day at Prem Mandir and witness its illuminated marble carvings depicting Krishna’s leelas. Participate in evening bhajans, kirtans and aarti to immerse yourself in Krishna’s devotion.

Overnight Stay -Vrindavan

Day 5: Radha Kund, Shyam Kund & Govardhan Leela Parikrama+

Wake up early in the morning and depart for Radha Kund, which is considered the holiest of all sacred water bodies in Braj Bhoomi.

Shyam Kund is nearby. Krishna created this kund after slaying the demon Aristasura. Devotees believe bathing here grants pure love for Radha-Krishna.

Move to Kusum Sarovar. It is a holy and architecturally stunning site where Radha and the gopis collected flowers for Krishna.

Thereafter, move to Govardhan Hill, where Krishna lifted the mountain to safeguard Braj from torrential rains sent by Indra.

Complete the Govardhan Parikrama by visiting key stops such as Dan Ghati Temple, Mukharvind Temple, and Jatipura.

Day 6: Explore Barsana+

After breakfast, journey to Barsana. It is the birthplace and divine home of Radha Rani and symbolises the highest form of devotion.

Move to the majestic Shri Radha Rani Temple (Ladli Ji Temple). Climb on it to witness panoramic views of Braj Bhoomi.

 

Visit Kirti Mandir (Radha’s birthplace) and Prem Sarovar. At the pond/sarovar, Radha and Krishna shared loving moments. Explore Sankari Khor, which is associated with playful Holi leelas.

Then, travel to Maan Mandir, which reflects Radha’s loving sulk (maan). Barsana’s devotion is vibrant, emotional and deeply rooted in divine love.

Day 7: Nandgaon and Kokilavan+

Travel to Nandgaon after enjoying your morning refreshments. Nandgaon is the village of Nand Baba and Yashoda Maiya.

Here, visit the Nand Bhavan Temple. According to beliefs, it is Krishna’s childhood residence. Move to Pan Sarovar, where Krishna rested while grazing cows.

Visit Ter Kadamba. It is the tree where Krishna played the flute. Later on, visit to Kokilavan, which relates to Shani Dev and Krishna’s protective grace.

Devotees believe worship here removes planetary afflictions and obstacles from life. The peaceful surroundings offer an ideal setting for meditation and reflection.

Day 8: Return to Delhi+

After breakfast, start your return journey to Delhi. On the way, enjoy views of the serene Braj countryside, cowherd villages, dotted with ancient temples, and the Yamuna riverbanks that silently speak about Krishna’s universal presence.

After you arrive in Delhi in the evening, check into your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure. If you wish, come out and walk in the local markets. Return to your hotel room.
