The saga reveals that Ravana, in haste, dropped the sacred Shivling on the earth. Endowed with immense spiritual powers, the Shivling fragmented into a thousand pieces in retribution for Ravana's reckless actions, leaving him bewildered. 

The principal fragment remained where Koteshwar Temple now stands, while Ravana left with a less significant piece. Interestingly, on clear nights, one can see the lights from Karachi, Pakistan, from this locale, adding to the mystical experience of walking along the nearby beach.

By Air: Bhuj Airport, located less than 5 km away, offers excellent connectivity with major Indian cities.

By Road: Regular bus service on the route from Bhuj and Narayan Sarovar to Koteshwar, situated on Kori’s Creek and nestled among tranquil hamlets.
