About Gopnath Temple

Gopnath temple in Gujarat is situated on the shores of the Khambhat Gulf (Gopnath Beach). Also known as the Gopnath Mahadev Temple is a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva. Located 22 km from the Talaja town and 75 km from Bhavnagar city, it is a 700-year-old temple.

As per legends, Maharaja Krishnakumar Sinh Gohil of Bhavnagar frequented this spiritual destination. Moreover, Narsinh Maheta, a renowned devotee of Lord Krishna, witnessed the Rasleela of the Gopis and Shree Krishna through spiritual insight in this temple.
