Agra Fort – A Timeless Wonder

Sprawling over an area of 94 acres of land, Agra Fort situated on the right bank of River Yamuna is an awe inspiring structure built during Akbar’s Mughal dynasty. Built at a visible distance from the iconic structure of India, Taj Mahal, Agra fort surrounded by a 21m tall fortification houses number of wonderfully built structures embracing the Mughal architectural styles. Taj Mahal – Mausoleum on Marble

Taj Mahal, the touristic icon of India is acclaimed as  a “Mausoleum on Marble” by global travellers. Standing on the right bank of River Yamuna, Taj Mahal symbolises the purity of eternal love, built by Mughal King Shahjahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz. Note: 1. Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays except for traditional prayers between 12 Noon and 2PM.

           2. Night viewing on Full Moon days and two days after and before it, except on Fridays and during the month of Ramzan.

Fatehpur Sikri – City of Victory

      

Sikri, the place with abundant water resources and human habitation since pre historic period is highly prominent among the global travellers for the outstanding city called Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh. This is the first planned city built in the history of Mughal Reigns with numerous splendidly built organisations, palaces and public residences connected with an excellent water management system. The red sandstones used in the structures make the entire city very unique.
